Athletics

Building Teamwork, Strength, and School Spirit

At TMSA Triad Elementary, athletics play an important role in nurturing the whole child. Our programs are designed to promote physical fitness, teamwork, discipline, and leadership, while fostering healthy habits that last a lifetime.

Through structured physical education classes and engaging after-school sports programs, students learn the value of effort, sportsmanship, and perseverance — all in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.

Our Approach

Our athletics and physical education programs focus on:

  • Healthy Bodies and Minds: Students participate in age-appropriate activities that promote movement, coordination, and confidence.

  • Character Through Competition: Sports and teamwork help students practice respect, resilience, and perseverance — reflecting TMSA’s core values of responsibility, courage, and industriousness.

  • Inclusive Participation: Every child is encouraged to take part, regardless of skill level or experience. We emphasize growth and learning over competition alone.

  • Community and School Pride: Athletics strengthen our sense of belonging, uniting students, families, and staff through shared achievement and school spirit.

Programs Offered

Our students enjoy a range of physical education and sports opportunities designed to build strength, teamwork, and fun. Programs may include:

  • Physical Education (K–5): Daily or weekly PE classes emphasizing health, fitness, and movement fundamentals.

  • Intramural & Recreational Sports: Opportunities for friendly competition and skill-building in activities such as:

    • Soccer ⚽

    • Basketball 🏀

    • Track & Field 🏃‍♀️

    • Volleyball 🏐

    • Flag Football 🏈

  • Wellness and Fitness Clubs: After-school programs that focus on movement, mindfulness, and teamwork.

  • Community & Family Events: Field days, fun runs, and parent-student tournaments that promote active living.

These programs not only support physical health but also contribute to academic success, social-emotional development, and positive school climate.

Beyond the Classroom

Our extended-day and weekend programs provide additional opportunities for physical activity, teamwork, and leadership development. Students learn that staying active helps them focus better, feel stronger, and develop lifelong habits for wellness and perseverance.

At TMSA Triad Elementary, athletics are more than games — they’re a foundation for confidence, character, and community. Every practice and every game is a chance for our students to learn, lead, and grow as true Tigers of Character.
